Providence Park Hospital, located in Novi, is St. John Health’s newest facility and the first new hospital to be built in southeast Michigan in over 20 years. Our scenic, “health park” campus offers a medical center providing a comprehensive array of outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic services. Scheduled to open in September 2008, Providence Park Hospital will be licensed for 200 beds and will be one of only a handful of hospitals in the country to offer patients the convenience of acuity adaptable care.
Our Imaging department provides patients with state-of-the-art digital imaging equipment in a full PACS environment. Located in five (5) different areas on the Novi campus, inpatient and outpatient groups will benefit from the services provided in the following modalities: X-ray / Fluoroscopy, Interventional Procedures, CT, Ultrasound / Echocardiography, Nuclear Medicine and MRI.
DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING MANAGERS
Working in conjunction with the department chairperson and Administrative Director, you will direct and organize the technical and ancillary operations of the assigned departments within diagnostic imaging. You will provide direction for supervisory and lead staff that is responsible for the day-to-day operations of each modality. Additionally, you will interact with the ambulatory imaging components to ensure consistency throughout the organization and assist with capital and operational budget preparation and implementation.
In addition to 3 years progressive management experience in an imaging department, the selected candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business (or equivalent management experience preferred) and be AART, ARDMS, or NMTCB certified. Experience in the development and implementation of budgets, process improvement experience, familiarity with the requirements of related regulatory agencies (i.e., JCAHO, NRC, MQSA, etc.) and the use of radiology information systems, including teleradiology and digital dictation is needed. Non-invasive cardiac test experience is preferred.

Job Description |
Borgess Medical Center has an excellent first shift, full-time opportunity for a Lead Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist.
This position reports to the Clinical Manager of Radiology, and is responsible for overseeing and assigning the activities of the Radiological Technologists within the operation of Interventional Radiology. The Lead Technologist keeps abreast of new diagnostic, treatments, and imaging modalities and provides input in development of procedure protocol. Works in collaboration with the Interventional Radiologists and other specialists to promote quality outcomes and efficient departmental operations. Ensures all activities comply with Medical Center and outside regulatory agency standards. Monitors supply levels and equipment quality checks and maintenance. May participate in diagnostic and/or interventional procedures as first assist.

Reqirements:
- A.R.R.T. registry is required
- Knowledge of angiographic equipment, angiographic studies and special procedures at a level normally acquired after three – five years experience within Interventional Radiology.
- Within three to five years is working towards or has obtained registry status in Vascular Interventional Radiography.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective leadership, technical and support personnel, and to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians and various Medical Center departments.
- Analytical skills necessary in order to direct day-to-day IR operations, ensure efficient scheduling of personnel and respond effectively to equipment malfunctions or employee relations problems.
