At the 53^rd MSRT Annual Meeting!

 

 

This year’s focus is on entering the digital age.  While we have many different topics, we thought this year would be a good time to gain some knowledge on Computed Radiography and Digital Radiography.  We have all been dragged into the computer age (some of us kicking and screaming) and it is here to stay. 

 

One other area of interest scheduled for Wednesday is Diane Covert’s The X-Ray Project.  Her project features radiographs of victims of terrorism and has been well received.  For more info visit her website at www.x-rayproject.org/.  On Thursday we have humor to lighten your life with Kent Rader.  Kent’s humor is sure to make your day!

 

For the Radiation Therapists and Students we have tracks on both Wednesday and Thursday. 

 

For fun and entertainment we have the following scheduled:

 

• Golf outing Tuesday to raise funds for the MSRT student scholarship program
• Get acquainted party on Tuesday evening
• Student Bee Wednesday at 5:00.  Come cheer for your alma mater!
• Wednesday evening party.  Theme this year is “Are You Smarter Than A First Year Student?”  Wear your favorite school apparel.
• Thursday night banquet
• Student hospitality room between classes and the banquet Thursday night

 

As always, we will be displaying exhibits from our exhibit competition.  If you are interested in entering, information is on the website at www.msrt.org.  Rules and applications are also available for the writing competition available for both technologists and students.  Cash prizes and plaques will be awarded at the Banquet on Thursday evening. 

 

This years meeting , along with the opportunity to gain your continuing education credits, offers the opportunity for you to socialize and network with others in the profession.  It will also give you an opportunity to meet the people who represent you in the MSRT.  Get involved!  You’ll be surprised at how rewarding it can be.
